Novel Core’s first single of 2024, ‘RULERS’, was released on Wednesday, January 10.
The song has been selected as the closing theme to the fifth season of the anime series ‘Kingdom’, which will begin broadcasting in January 2024. As a fan of both the anime adaptation of ‘Kingdom’ and the original manga, Novel Core has created this all-new song with producer Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai, who has worked with such globally successful artists as SKY-HI, BE:FIRST, UVERworld, AK-69, Chanmina and milet.
Novel Core’s newly written lyrics on the theme of “inconsistent justice” are sprinkled with references that will resonate with ‘Kingdom’ fans; he skillfully and expressively sings and raps these lyrics over Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai’s aggressive digital-rock sound. These core elements fuse to create an emotional song that reflects the unique tension present in Season 5 of ‘Kingdom’.

Novel Core Profile
Born in Tokyo and aged 22, Novel Core is a rapper, singer and songwriter. He is signed to BMSG, the artist management company/label run by SKY-HI. Novel Core’s first major-label album ‘A GREAT FOOL’ and his second ‘No Pressure’ each reached No.1 on Japan’s charts, as he exploded in popularity from the very start of his major-label career. He has held successful tours of Japan including the Zepp chain of concert venues, as well as a solo performance at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo, with all performances selling out immediately. On January 17, 2024, he will hold his first solo performance at the legendary Nippon Budokan, which is also completely sold out.
In addition to establishing a solid presence on the music scene, Novel Core has also attracted attention from the fashion industry, modelling for top fashion houses such as Ferragamo and Etro – establishing him as a true new-generation artist.
