經過近一個月秋休，Red Bull 車隊的荷蘭籍車手 Max Verstappen 於台灣時間21日凌晨，在F1一級方程式賽車美國大獎賽（United States Grand Prix）奪下第三名，本季第12度站上頒獎台。此外，Verstappen 在前一天的衝刺賽奪冠，進一步為剩下的5場比賽拉大積分優勢，創下今年衝刺賽不敗紀錄，也再次展現 Red Bull 車隊的強大實力。
頭排發車的Verstappen，一開賽即與桿位出發的McLaren 英國車手 Lando Norris互相壓制，並在共59圈的賽事當中多次展開激烈攻防，最終Verstappen成功守住頒獎台位置。賽後接受訪問時，他表示，「今天對我們來說並不是最理想的比賽，但重要的是我們仍維持了領先，這對車隊來說意義重大。我盡了全力，但車速不如預期，轉向和剎車也遇到了一些平衡問題，輪胎狀況讓我在彎道無法發動進攻。」Verstappen 也說到 「與 Norris 的最後對決非常激烈，實際上也很有趣。因為離開賽道範圍、無法超車而失去奪冠機會，雖然無奈，但這就是規則。我們團隊需要分析為什麼今天的速度沒有前一天快，因為我們原本期待更具競爭力，真的很可惜。不過，我們這週末確實有了一些正向進展，方向正確，但還需更多提升。最重要的是，我們在比賽中擴大了領先優勢，這對車隊來說才是關鍵。」
Verstappen 的墨西哥籍隊友Sergio Perez 以第7名完賽，順利為車隊添得積分。 而Visa Cash App RB F1 車隊（VCARB）的紐西蘭車手 Liam Lawson在本賽季初登場從19位出發，一路挺進最終以第9名完賽，成功拿下積分，接棒完成餘下賽季，展現出色表現。至於9月底來台展演的日本車手角田裕毅（Yuki Tsunoda）吸引了不少台灣車迷，最終以14位完賽，讓民眾更加關注 F1賽事魅力與緊張氛圍。
2024 F1一級方程式世界錦標賽下週將前往墨西哥，將於台灣時間10月28日上午4:00展開。
